It took a lot of digging to find the maker of these unique plastic poker chips which could very well have been the very first interlocking gaming tokens of this kind. But using the logo, we found that they were manufactured by Seaforth Plastics based out of Southend on Sea during the 1930/40s whom we found a few references for their logo online and via the Museum of Design in Plastics in Bournemouth.

As far as we are aware, the pieces used to be sold as part of a set in a display case or carousel made of brown bakelite.

There are 96 chips in seven different colours in total: 12 green, 12 red, 12 turquoise, 12 pink, 12 blue, 12 light blue, 24 mixed recycled.

3cm diameter

During our research we only came across one partial set which makes these a rare piece of British plastic manufacturing history! Every chip is in excellent condition.  Grade 1 under the Hoyles Vintage Grading System.
