Own a piece of chess history. The only chess set approved by FIDE for the World Chess Championship cycle events.
Designed by the internationally renowned Pentagram architect Daniel Weil, these pieces are based on the proportions of Classical Greek architecture and the classic Staunton design to make a set that is both distinctive and traditional. When Weil designed the pieces for World Chess, he consulted elite chess players, including Magnus Carlson and Vladimir Kramnik. Since 2013, this set has been exclusively used in the World Chess Championship cycle events.
This 3.75” triple-weighted set is made of boxwood and features 2 extra queens.
We also sell the World Chess Rosewood board to accompany this set, please contact us for details.
