Horse Racing Tonight - 1941

One of the few Pepys series board games. This one comes with a tri-fold board marked out with lanes for six horses and up-to 80 'spaces' for the horses to race along. Six separate races are able to be played from a six furlong dash to a one mile flat. Includes various barriers for the steeple chases.

This is in complete condition including early plastic horses and bakelite shakers. The great historical note is printed at the top of the board as follows: "The popular game devised and played in the Merchant Navy prisoners of war camps in Germany. Founded 10th May 1941." 

The box is in good condition, Grade 2 and the board is Grade 1 Excellent under the Hoyles Vintage Grading System.
