Peter Gal: Square to triangle puzzle

One of Peter Gal's 'dissection' puzzles, here you need to fill the square-shaped hole and then put all the pieces into the triangular hole. The Hungarian mathematician Farkas Bolyai proved that any two polygons with the same area can be dissected into each other. this puzzle beautifully illustrates his theorem.

Like the rest of the collection, the wooden pieces are kept in a wooden tray, within a booklet bound with a colourful linen finish with contrasting colour spine.
