Scrabble, J.W.Spears & Sons 1953

Scrabble was invented in America in 1938 and is the world’s most popular word game,  now available in more than 30 languages and 121 countries. This 1953 vintage edition from J.W Spears & Sons was the first to use plastic tiles with the usual board and wooden racks.

The box has sadly been taped up a lot using black tape but the contents are complete and in good condition. Grade 3 under the Hoyles Vintage Grading System (see here).
