Brass trump markers - 1883
Exceptional set of four burnished brass whist trump markers dating to 1883, sold by Charles Dipple and Son. Each marker features a distinctive shaped design corresponding to the card suits, with registration stamp detail. Originally patented by Charles and Edward Dipple in 1860, this later iteration represents a refinement of their acclaimed gaming accessory design. Measuring approximately 0.75 inches across, these compact counters are highly sought by collectors of Victorian gaming ephemera. Rarely encountered in the market.
