Carcassonne: Messenger & Mayor (Expansion 5)

Expand Your Influence with Messengers, Mayors, and Wagons

In Carcassonne: Messenger & Mayor, new roles and mechanics deepen the strategy of classic Carcassonne. Mayors, messengers, and wagons give players more ways to score, while barns revolutionise play in the fields. These clever additions expand both tactical options and long-term planning, enriching every game.

Why You’ll Love It

• Powerful New Roles - Deploy the Mayor, who gains strength in proportion to the number of pennants in a city, or send out a Messenger to collect bonus points from a second scoring track.
• Versatile Wagons - Place your wagon on cities, roads, or cloisters—then move it to a connected feature after scoring, keeping your options open.
• Barns in the Fields - Place barns at road crossings to instantly score and dramatically reshape the influence of farmers, changing the dynamics of endgame scoring.
• Seamless Integration - Adds new layers of decision-making without overcomplicating the elegant core gameplay Carcassonne is known for.
