Own a piece of chess history. The only chess set approved by FIDE for the World Chess Championship cycle events.
Designed by the internationally renowned Pentagram architect Daniel Weil, these pieces are based on the proportions of Classical Greek architecture and the classic Staunton design to make a set that is both distinctive and traditional. When Weil designed the pieces for World Chess, he consulted elite chess players, including Magnus Carlson and Vladimir Kramnik. Since 2013, this set has been exclusively used in the World Chess Championship cycle events.
This 3.75” triple-weighted set is made of boxwood and features 2 extra queens and includes a specially designed maple and rosewood chessboard with the squares measuring 50x50mm.
