Featuring a finely crafted mahogany box with brass hinges and 24 boxwood game pieces (12 black and 12 white with nine of each marked for Kings). This vintage game set allows you to experience the simple pleasures of a bygone era. Though compact in size, the quality craftsmanship of this 1860s English-made set ensures many games can still be enjoyed today.
4.5 inch square closing to 2.25 by 4.5 inches.
The game is complete and in superb condition for its age, fold smoothly and all the pieces slot into place correctly. Grade 1 under the Hoyles Vintage Grading System (see here).
