A deck of 52 fabric finished playing cards produced by Alf Cooke Limited of London & Leeds. Manufactured specifically for Woolworth stores during the 1960s. 

Alf Cooke Limited were an important producer of playing cards and card games in the UK during the period 1920-1970. The company had been founded in 1866 by Alf Cooke, in Leeds, as a general printer.

This series of playing cards were printed with red/yellow/black courts and a range of art-deco back designs.

 

Sadly the two original Jokers are missing but the rest of the cards are in great condition. Box is a little stained on the back, but otherwise good. Grade 2 under the Hoyles Vintage Grading System.
