Girl By Moonlight RPG

Girl By Moonlight is a tabletop RPG about magical heroes grappling with identity, destiny and the pressures of an oppressive society.

Built on the rules engine from Blades in the Dark, the game focuses on defiance, difficult choices and the relationships that give its characters the strength to keep fighting. The term “magical girl” is used broadly here: characters do not need to be girls, but are people whose identities place them at the margins.

Each campaign uses one of four Series Playsets, letting your group choose the kind of story you want to tell. These range from heroic battles to reclaim a corrupted world, to mecha pilots facing extinction, tragic magical heroes doomed by fate, and surreal stories about desire, dreams and mass culture.

Girl By Moonlight is a complete standalone game, with everything needed to create and play a campaign included in the book.
