Adapted from one of the twelve plates in George Barbier’s Falbalas et Fanfreluches (‘ruffles and frills’ ) 1925. Barbier was an influential figure and tastemaker in French art and design of the 1910s and 1920s. As well as haute couture fashion, he produced theatre and ballet costumes, book and magazine illustrations, jewellery and glassware designs.
With a compostable wrapper and a 120gsm recycled kraft envelope, the card is printed with vegetable-based inks on a carbon neutral press using responsibly sourced, acid free Italian paper.
