This is a stunning leather folding chess board from the late 1890s. It is in extremely good condition with printed paper end boards with an original maroon/brown abstract design. The inner board has black and cream leather squares with hand tooled gold margins.
Closed dimensions: 45cm height x 23cm width x 0.75cm thickness
Opens out to approximately 34cm play area with a 5cm border. This board would suit a 3.5" - 4" chess set or 1.25" draughts.
