An intriguing set of backgammon stones, featuring beautifully crafted boxwood pieces in classic black and white, each approximately 25mm in diameter. This remarkable set is housed in its original compartmentalized red box, which is in exceptional condition, appearing as if it were purchased directly from a toy store yesterday.
Included in the set are two charmingly inexpensive red-painted wooden shakers, as well as four original tiny 6mm blue glass dice. Additionally, the set comes with an original paper sheet detailing the "Rules of Backgammon," which we estimate dates back to the 1920s.
This backgammon set, part of the 'Glevum Series,' exemplifies British craftsmanship with its 'Made in England' trade label.

Very good condition, each stone is in perfect condition and undamaged, as are age shakers. The dice have worn a bit on their corners. Grade 1 under the Hoyles Vintage Grading System.
