Celluloid 'Singer' Trump Marker - 1920s

£18.00 £9.00

An interesting celluloid trump marker from the 1920s made by Singer, who are a sewing machine manufacturer. Our best guess is that this was sold as a means to advertise their business, perhaps attached to a catalog or in the newspaper.

A trump marker is used in popular card games like Bela, Belote, Bridge, Euchre, Klaberjass, Pinochle, Piquet, 500, and Whist. A trump marker determines which colour is trump during these card games.

 Dimensions: 8cm length x 6cm width

Excellent condition and an unusual piece of history, Grade 1 under the Hoyles Vintage Grading System.
