This folding Victorian cribbage box, dating from the 1870s, is made from boxwood, ebony, and mahogany veneer. It features a brass clasp and a red leather interior, and includes the original two red and two white bone pegs. The box is designed to house one deck of cards (currently includes a later deck by De La Rue).

The external veneer is notably sun-faded, but adds a certain sort of charm to it, the pegs are in great condition and the deck of cards have a few marks to their faces but are otherwise undamaged. Grade 3 under the Hoyles Vintage Grading System.
